hi veri here dropping in again

i decided to finalise the dates a bit better. by the end of may i’m hoping to have assembled all of the wavs from most of the musicians. there may be some tracks that will come in late (in particular the two non-eden medleys) but i’d like the majority of them collected by then

and i kinda of forgot to ask / found it awkward to ask about commentaries but that is also going to be a thing. at the moment my focus isn’t really on this project but i’ll do a bit of planning on it right now and try and get it more finalised.

i’ll message people who have already sent me wavs and ask for commentaries and if you could please provide commentaries with your wavs that’d be great ok thanks

quietserval: If you do any future albums will you have a call out for artists?

I think the question is more will there be future albums and that’s a probability. I know at least LOFAM 4 might be a thing. (maybe). And there might be another thing but I don’t know whether that will come to fruition… But yeah, we’ll have a call out for artists just like we did for LOFAM 2 and 3.

euphonioussoliloquy: is there any sheet music available for anything on any of these fan albums?

Not currently, though if there are certain songs you’re after I could have a look at making some. It wouldn’t be for a while though.

Just an update for you all:

Art is flowing in and I’m starting to round up some of the tracks from musicians but I’ll be doing this slowly. (Any musicians that have been notified of their being on LOFAM3 can help speed up this process by submitting links to lossless versions of their nominated tracks to my tumblr, veri-pageofknowledge.)

We’re well on our way to getting the album out to you, so stay tuned!

I also have another surprise for you all in the works. A blast from the past…

ATTENTION ALL LOFAM3 ARTISTS. AGAIN.

lunise:

Posting this on my main blog because I don’t know who all on the art team follows my MSPA blog and my main blog is kind of all-encompassing anyway.

IF FOR ANY REASON YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE LINK TO THE LIST OF UNCLAIMED TRACKS, SEND ME AN ASK AGAIN. I had some of you in my inbox that I had recruited directly and your submit boxes were nonexistent to I attempted to give you the link via ask by separating the /’s and the .’s with spaces. I only had to do this for a few people but it was still inconvenient and if you’re one of the few who got a message like that as opposed to a reply with a link embedded in the text I may or may not have to send you the list again.

I sent out the link to just about everyone who was in my inbox last night. I still have yet to hear back from some. If you have not yet received the list let me know! I have A LOT OF PEOPLE to keep track of and I don’t want to forget about any of you.

THERE ARE TEN TRACKS LEFT WITHOUT ARTISTS. I repeat, TEN TRACKS. If I have not heard back from you, speak up! If Tumblr has eaten your ask/response, speak up! I hope to have a complete list of artists sooner rather than later.

ATTENTION ALL LOFAM3 ARTISTS.

THIS IS YOUR ARTISTLY OVERLORD SPEAKING.

By now you should have gotten a link to the songs that have not yet been claimed. You should be aware that you will have two or three months to complete your work for the album, and so I will expect you to submit art to me by June 5th (should all go well) or July 5th (if the music side of the album is taking longer than expected) at the latest.

I am officially opening up my submit box for the general public to see on my main blog. If I don’t have you as a contact on Skype or anywhere outside of Tumblr and if you’re not one of the two who have contacted me via the forums alone, I will expect you to send me your finished art through there.

SOME GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ART:

  • DON’T HALFASS YOUR TRACK ART. Seriously, if you can put your best effort into it, by all means do so! Put some genuine effort into your work. We don’t want another Duttle fiasco on our hands.
  • YOUR TRACK ART SHOULD BE IN SQUARE DIMENSIONS. That is, we don’t want any rectangular track art. So long as it’s in a square size (700x700, 1000x1000, 3000x3000, what have you) you should be good.
  • DON’T BE GREEDY. I have a little over 20 artists on record for the project and it wouldn’t be fair if they didn’t all have a chance at drawing for it. As such I am proposing a LIMIT OF THREE TRACKS PER ARTIST. In the event that we still don’t have enough art or in the event that we have a Rise of the Denizens situation on our hands, I may contact some of you for a little extra help. In the event that we have too many claims and not all the artists get to claim art, I may have to ask that some of you relinquish a track. This is just a fair warning.

Got that? Good! I look forward to seeing what all of you draw.

We’re currently in the process of contacting musicians about their music and trying to assemble a finalised track list. We’re attempting to cull the behemoth pile of tracks you’ve all nominated to just keep the best of the best. There are some tracks that couldn’t make it into LoFaM 2 which have priority, and a bunch of new songs, including some which won’t be released anywhere else.

I’ll have more news for you in the near future hopefully.

LOFAM 3 Nominations - Closed

Lines are now closed!

And by that, I mean nominations. I’ll update you on the progress tomorrow but most of the track choices are finalised at the moment and we’re already in the process of contacting musicians about their tracks.
